As a lifelong Martin County Native who grew up with a father in the roofing industry, I have seen the roofing industry in our area evolve and change over the years. Some of my earliest memories were being on the ground watching my father install shingles and picking up the wrappers on the ground and placing them in piles. If I was lucky, he would let me come on the roof for a few minutes and walk around and see the job.
My experience in the industry is broad and extensive. From cleaning the ground and pushing a tear off shovel, to turning out bids from blueprints at a desk all day, I have worked in almost every position in the industry both in the field as well as in the office. I have performed foreman duties for installation on all of our popular residential assemblies as well as most commercial assemblies. From tile, metal, shingle, shake and composite slope roofing to modified, PVC, TPO, hot asphalt and spray foam on low slope assemblies, as well as custom sheet metal design and installation, there are not many areas in the industry I have not been involved in over the years.
The roofing industry is innovative with the design of roofing assemblies ever changing. This lends itself to providing a unique set of challenges in the area of repair, maintenance, and new roof applications. I pride myself on staying up to date with current building code and assembly changes and utilizing repair and maintenance procedures that are compatible with your current assembly. I do not believe a one size fits all approach is in your best interest.
If I am not at the office or running estimates, I can be found spending time with my beautiful wife and our four children or getting out on the water. Whether it is ten miles out in the Gulfstream, surfing at one of our local breaks, or just relaxing in the sand at the beach, I love all things water related. I can also be found at church with my family most Sunday mornings where I love learning to grow in my relationship with God and my fellow man.

I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. I decided to come to FL in 2015 and have been here ever since. I started roofing in 2016 after I met my wife because her family was in the roofing business. I can honestly say that I enjoy roofing. It does have hard days and it can get very hot, but overall, I am really happy to be a part of this community.
My name is Marlon Hernandez. I am a second-generation roofer. I started roofing in 2004. I have worked from the south to the north and from east to west of the state of Florida.
